I needed a potty for my summer house, on the boat, and while traveling, but all I could find were large, children's potties meant for the floor. Recognizing the demand for a modern and well-designed solution, I decided to create one.

Carola Nilstein, Pipinette AB Founder. 1995.

In 1995, Carola left her job to establish Pipinette AB, focusing on creating products that offer convenience and security when nature calls. The business began in Carola's apartment in Stockholm and occasionally in the Swedish countryside. The products were developed in close collaboration with urologists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

Pipinette takes its name from "pipi," a friendly term for "passing water" in many languages.

Over the years, many have contributed to building Pipinette into a strong and sustainable business. A few years ago, Carola stepped back, and now her daughter leads the company.

Design Look and Feel

This is one of Carola's passions and has been central to Pipinette's mission. The products are not only visually appealing but also practical and easy to use. This commitment to quality design has earned Pipinette numerous awards from around the world, including:

All the products are Design protected and Pipinette is an internationally registered Trademark.

Swedish Nature and Community

Our company and products were developed surrounded by Swedish nature, at places like Kleva in Sörmland shown here. At Pipinette, we are dedicated to creating products that enhance convenience while fostering a sustainable future.

Our products are made from high-quality polypropylene random copolymer, known for its durability and impact strength, even in low temperatures. This commitment to quality ensures our products are built to last, reducing the need for frequent replacements and minimizing waste.

We prioritize environmentally friendly packaging and continually strive to improve its sustainability. We have just introduced a paper sleeve to fully replace the plastic bag previously containing the Pipinette.

Our Travel Kit is packaged at Lagandan, an organization that provides job training opportunities for individuals with disabilities or others who face challenges in the open market.
